Jace lost his second tooth a couple weeks ago at school again. He brought it home in a miniature treasure chest and excitedly placed it under his pillow that night. The tooth fairy visited and was happy to leave $2 dollars again but no matter how hard he looked he couldn't find the tooth. (The tooth fairy for this house is a he because the she is always too tired and forgets.) Jace was sprawled out with both hands under his pillow and the treasure chest was opened with no tooth. The tooth fairy desperately felt around in the dark hoping to find it ... to no avail. The next morning a second tooth fairy (the she) swooped in after the kids had been dropped off to school and found it on the bottom bunk bed instead of the top. It must have fallen during the night. She was happy that the tooth was rescued.
Later that day (even though it was a super, crazy, busy day) I ( mom) took Jace to the bank and stood in line at each and every bank teller's station to see if they had any of the 50 state quarters that Jace still needed for his collection. He traded in his $2 dollars for 8 new quarters and was happy as could be. That day I was a good mom. I'm a good mom everyday ... at least I try to be, but that day I was an especially good mom. In Jace's eyes I was the best mom ever! :) Look, his scar above his eye is healing up nicely.
