The Thursday before Mother's day Jace's first grade class held a Ma's Spa for all the kids moms. It was ADORABLE! You could tell that they had put a lot of thought and preparation into it. We started off with Jace showing me where his desk was and how he had cleaned and organized it for me to come. Then we rotated to different stations around the room. Jace and I started at the Hand/Foot massage Smelly good lotion station. He massaged (plastered gobs of lotion on) me and used the prompter questions to ask me questions about myself. Who knew that moms had a life before their kids came along. lol. It was quite hilarious. Next we rotated to the Dress Up station.
He found me a crown and a pink feather boa and we got to take a picture together. After that he presented me with his gift he had made in class. It was a book he had made about me in the shape of a purse. After reading it I wanted to cry tears of joy. My boy loves me. He had put so much thought into this little book. He was excited to show me the cover where he had colored a beautiful picture of a flower and it had his school picture in the middle. (I'm regretting not buying it -it's a great picture of him. I take so many pictures of the kids myself that I just can't justify spending money on more photos.) I was glad to see his handsome face smiling back at me from the middle of his flower. Next was the Massage station. He rubbed my back while again using prompter questions to find more out about me. We worked together on a puzzle and finished up at the Treat Station where we shared doughnuts, muffins, and juice. He was so proud to have me and there and was sad to see me go when the Ma's Spa closed.
