Swimming Lessons

The kids have been enjoying swimming lessons.  It makes for a bit of a busy evening but then they are worn out and ready for bed earlier.  I love doing the spring sessions because there are less kids and more teachers because all the new summer lifeguards are being trained.  They have done 2 two week sessions so far and Brooke is actually swimming for the first time ever on her own.  I'm so excited and proud.  Now I know that if she were to fall into a pool she would most likely be able to swim to the side to pull herself out.  That is such a comfort.  Especially here where there are pools in most people's back yards.  It makes me sick hearing of all the drownings that are reported every summer here.  It's too many.

Jace is doing so well and has now moved on to level 3.  He can do the full stoke, back stroke, float on his back, hold his breath under water, and do rotary breathing.  He's like a fish in the water.  Swim team may be in his future after he graduates from swim lessons.
I try my best to be a good listener and follow all of coach's instructions.

Just chillin' with mommy on the sidelines.

I did it all by myself!!  I'm officially a fish.

Looks like everyone (including Ty) love swimming lessons. I'm glad they are doing so well. It'll be fun to see them swim in California.
