Thunderbird Conservation Park

I can't believe that this place is THIS close to us and it's the first time that we have taken a second to go hiking together as a family here.  We had fun getting out of the house as a whole family.  We did a pretty short hike because Brooke was complaining the whole way about how 'tired' she was and it was pretty hot too.  When we got to the rest stop we had a little picnic.  The kids told us that they wanted to hike to the top of the mountain.  We compromised and went a little further up the trail before we headed back to the car.  The desert is a beautiful place.  It's polar opposites from the hikes we did in Washington.  We went from green, green, green to total desert.  Both very beautiful in their own ways.  We LOVE hiking as a family. :)  Ty loved being carted around in my sling.  He loves that thing.  I love it too.  I like feeling him close to me.

Looks like a fun day, Ty is getting so big. He's so cute in the sling. Dylan didn't like his, it's baby carrier or just holding him. lol. I like using the stroller now. I love his hat.

So has the desert started to blossom yet? Val used to say how awesome it was when the desert started to blossom and then the oranges start and make the whole city smell so good.

Looks like fun and YOU look awesome! Sometime I would like to explore parts of AZ. The only times I have been in AZ are driving to Vegas--I don't even think that counts!
