Blessing Day

Guess who got blessed!?!  Baby Ty!

We rented a Dodge Charger and decided to have Ty blessed at my parents home in Hurricane, UT.  The blessing was absolutely beautiful.  It's really special to have it done at your home with just family and a member of the bishopric.  We did it that way with Brooke too.

Ty did not like wearing his suit that he borrowed from his cousin Dylan.  It was too tight to fit around all that chubbiness.  He cried and cried and then as soon as daddy started the blessing he stopped ... and he waited to start crying again until it was over.  It was a beautiful blessing.

Grandpa Johnson, Grandpa Robert, Jeremy, Justin, Aaron, and Daddy were all in the circle.  It was a fun get together!  Grandma made some yummy chocolate eclairs, lemon eclairs, and tuxedo brownies to celebrate.  We love you baby Ty and are so glad that you are part of our family.

It was wonderful to see my mom and visit with all the family.  The morning after the blessing we celebrated Eric's 5th birthday with a Pirate Pancake Party.  Grandma & Grandpa made some super yummy skull n' crossbones pancakes for the boys and tiara pancakes for the girls then the kiddos went on a treasure hunt.  I was very impressed with grandma's pirate map making skills. :)  After that we took the kids over to Nani & Grandpa Roberts hotel in St. George to celebrate his 60th birthday.  We watched Grandpa swim with the kids and then Jace and Brooke got to have a sleepover there.  YAY!
