Gingerbread House
Every year I try to make a gingerbread house with the kids. I wasn't sure if it was going to happen this year since we got to December 18th and we still hadn't done it. I was on call with the hospital to be induced. We waited that morning and didn't hear anything so I called them at noon and they reported that they didn't have any beds available. Monday was full so we were expecting to have the baby on Tuesday instead. I thought I might as well get started on the gingerbread house with the kids and we decided to go see the lights at the Mesa temple that night. We had so much fun and they were such good helpers this year. I was the frosting glue lady and they were the candy decorators. It turned out wonderfully and just as we were finishing the hospital called and said they were ready for me to come in. Ready or not ... today was the day. The lights would have to wait because we were having a baby instead. After they called it finally started to sink in and I got really excited and nervous. We packed our bags and headed to the hospital at 2:30 in the afternoon.

Very cute gingerbread house. We've wanted to do a gingerbread house this year, but figured there wasn't a spot in the house the black dog wouldn't eat it. lol.
