Christmas Eve & Christmas!!

Katie & Brookie did lots of baking!!  Brooke loves to be the helper in the kitchen.  We had our usual Christmas eve feast complete with King Crab legs and lots of appetizers.  Jace couldn't wait for the crab.  He dug right in and that was all he ate that night.  I think he had 1 1/2 lbs. to himself.

Christmas Eve dinner

After dinner we did a a little program.  Daddy read the Christmas story and Jace & Brooke were Joseph and Mary and Baby Ty was Baby Jesus.  It was hilarious to watch.  Joseph was the one caring over baby Jesus.  Mary was more concerned about how she looked and that her veil kept falling off.  Baby Jesus wanted nothing to do with his part.  We made it short and sweet.  We then read our gifts to Jesus from last year to see if we had fulfilled our promises to Jesus for his Birthday.  We gifted new acts of service to him for this coming year.  Brooke is going to try not to jump on the beds as much and try to only color on paper. The kids got to open their Christmas eve pajamas.  Jace had a meltdown because his present was pajamas.  I think he was hoping for something more.  Aunt Katie had made some special personalized messages from Santa.  They had been tracking him all day on Santa tracker and we watched with excitement as he got closer and closer to the United States.  We even watched as he landed in Japan where cousins are.  I wish I would have had a video camera on Jace as he watched his message from Santa.  When it got to the part about how he had been asked to be a good boy at school he went behind the couch and curled up in a ball with his head hidden.  He wouldn't watch the rest.  He figured he was on the naughty list for sure and I've never seen a more guilty look on a child.  I hope he doesn't react like that on judgement day. lol  When he said that he had made it on the nice list he jumped up bright eyed and surprised and sighed a HUGE sigh of relief.  IT WAS HILARIOUS!!  Words can't describe how funny it was.  In all actuality - if we went off of the last month he most definitely should have been on the naughty list.  I'm still trying to figure out how he made it on the nice one ... it could have been the note that he left for Santa that buttered him up a bit.

It says " Dear Santa I'm sorry I have ben very nody.  Love Jace
A candy cane just for you.  I wish you a merry christmas."
Our Joseph, Baby Jesus, and Mary.

Meltdown over Christmas pajamas.  I made him do a smiley picture too but it probably wasn't worth all the effort to get him to do it.  I was completely worn out by the time the kids went to bed but I didn't get to sleep until 3am after wrapping presents, putting together a doll crib set with Robert, filling stockings, and nursing baby.  What a day!!  I was super soar on Christmas.

Look, Santa came!!  He left baby Ty the Lion King and a teddy bear.  We let the kids play with their fun Santa presents but waited to open presents under the tree until after church and Christmas breakfast.  The breakfast casserole and sweet rolls were extra yummy.  Thanks, Katie!
I got some extra sleep while they were away.

A pink baby with a dog for Brooke and an air craft carrier for Jace ...
along with a bit more.
Christmas Tree oh, Christmas Tree

Brooke giving Jace her very thoughtful gift.  She even got a hug out of it.

Jace w/ Grandpa in front of his army battle setup.  Nani, Grandpa, and Katie had to leave the next day.  They will be missed.  We had lots of fun with them.  We were very happy that they could join in the fun for Graduation, new baby, and Christmas.  They were wonderful and helped SO much!

The kids with Aunt Katie.  We love you, Katie!!
