Brookie girl has been SUPER excited for the Daddy Daughter Date put on by the PTO at her school. I signed the form and sent in the money. I was a little ornery with her the night of because she wanted to wear this dress and ONLY this dress and when I asked her to lay it out earlier in the evening she forgot so as we were nearing time to get ready and go she couldn't find it and then it was dirty so they were late waiting for her dress to get cleaned. We did her hair in ringlets and she looked like a little Shirley Temple. She was soaking up all the attention she could get. When they arrived there names were not on the list. I checked her backpack and the forms with money was still there. ARRGH!! I was ornery and thought she shouldn't be able to go but daddy said no way and that he was taking his girl to the dance. Chik Fil A catered and they danced the night away. Of course Brooke did a fair amount of socializing as well since a good portion of her friends were there. And daddy said he got ditched for a portion of the night while she danced on the stage with her friends. She said she loved being in the spot light. Daddy even taught her to moon walk. It was a night to remember.
