Be My Valentine

Here is Ty just before we drove to Joy school for his Valentines party.  We had fun making these "Out of this World Valentines" for his little friends with a bouncy ball.  Homemade Valentines are so fun.

The rest of the day was a complete blur.  I woke up early to make Brooke a special Valentines lunch with heart shaped Watermelon & strawberries, flower shaped cucumbers and a heart GF toastie with maple sunflower nutbutter.  It was her dream lunch.  As I was making her lunch she told me that today may be one of the best days of her entire life.  I smiled and she continued to explain why ... "I'm using my special pass to bring my American Girl doll to school AND we are wearing matching pink stripes and I get heart hair today and it's my Valentines party and I think my box is going to win the prize for most beautiful and then Kate gets to ride the bus home with me and then we get to drive to Grandpas house."  Yep!  Totally fun.

Jace had opted to stay home from school instead of having to endure watching all the other kids eat tasty treats that he couldn't have.  He told me he actually might cry if he had to go and that melted my heart.  I felt horrible and told him he could stay home and we could do something special instead.  He asked if he could play games on the iPad and I was fine with that ... so that's what he did all day and it was the perfect day for him.

After dropping Brooke, Ty and Daddy off we headed home, put a pork sirloin in the oven, got showered and ready, and finished up daddies Special Gourmet lunch with Rosemary, Thyme pork Sirloin, grilled asparagus, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate brownie meringues.  He said it was to die for which brightened up my day.  The way to that mans heart is through his stomach.

Ty had a blast at joyschool.  He made a heart necklace out of red noodles, yarn, and paper hearts and he made a heart hat out of a paper plate and paints.  He was happy as can be.

I did a little photo shoot with Jenni.  She did NOT want to cooperate and crawled off the second I put her down.  The view I usually got through my lens was of a blurred bum crawling away. lol!  She did look super adorable though.

Brooke brought her friend back from school and we packed the car up to get ready to leave for Oklahoma City to see Grandpa & Nani.  We picked dad up as soon as he got off of work and off we drove.  The kids gave Grandpa the biggest snuggles and cuddles when we finally arrived.
