Christmas!!

We had a lovely Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning.  We started our Christmas eve party at about 6:30pm which, according to the kids, was way too late.  They were planning on going to bed at 6:30pm.  lol.  We had some of our favorite appetizers to snack on: Chinese chicken salad, chips and salsa, 7 layer dip, tortilla roll ups, cookies, and sparkling cider.  Daddy read about Christ's birth in Luke and then we each wrote down our gift for Jesus on his birthday.  Daddy read The Night Before Christmas and the kids put out cookies and milk for Santa, then FINALLY they got to pick out one present to open that night.  Usually we do Christmas pajamas but I had just bought some for Ty, the ones I picked out online for Brooke sold out, and Jace only sleeps in his underwear so we decided to just let them pick one present to open.  They loved the idea.  Jace got exactly what he wanted from mommy and daddy - Minecraft The Village LEGOS.  Brooke got an awesome nail polish set from Aunt Katie, and Ty got some sweet toy cars from Aunt Katie.  The kids checked the online Santa Tracker and decided that they had better get to bed quick!  They said good bye to Scottie the Elf and got tucked in with visions of Minecraft,Frozen, and Cars in their heads.  Craig and I watched It's a Wonderful Life and ate cookies after the kiddos were asleep. It was a pretty low key, chilled out night.

Yummy Christmas Eve food.  King Crab Legs were off the menu this year.  Too expensive and hard to find.

 Christmas Morning!!

Ty woke up screaming at about 5:30am but he just needed a sippy with some milk and snuggles with mommy. Jace finally woke us up around 7am to go check out what Santa left.  The kids were all extremely happy with their gifts and played with them the rest of the day.  We had cinnamon rolls and breakfast casserole for breakfast and left overs for the rest of the day.  We didn't have any commitments of places to go so we just chilled out the entire day and it was AWESOME!!  Jace spent the rest of the next 3 days building his 3 Minecraft LEGO sets, Brooke colored, painted her nails, ate all her treats, and wore her sparkle high heels the whole day, and Ty had fun playing with his new Cars toys and sneaking candy the rest of the day.  He was mostly excited about the jumbo candy cane he got from Jace.

Santa came!!

Santa brought Jace Monopoly, Mine Craft LEGOS, new boots, 2 fleece jackets, an electric toothbrush, candy and blueberry poptarts.  He also got Minecraft LEGOS The Nether from Nani & Grandpa, a Star Wars light saber from G & G Johnson, a Star wars helmet from Brookie, remote control mini race cars from Aunt Jenny (Ty LOVED them too much and broke the antennas off  in the first 10 min), and Star Wars LEGOS from Aunt Katie.  He was such a sweetheart the whole day.

Mommy and Daddies big gift this yr was a TRAMPOLINE!!!  Yay!!  We've been waiting a long time to get one of these.

More than he expected ... ALL three Minecraft LEGOS sets.  He was one happy 8 yr old boy.

Ty LOVED all the treat he found in his stocking and was most excited about the jumbo candy cane he got from Jace.  Santa brought him a Cars themed rug with all the characters from Cars, 2 word books, a Cars electric tooth brush, lots of treats, sugar cereal, and fruit.  He got the movie Cars 2 from Nani & Grandpa, a Crayola color pad from G & G Johnson, awesome box cars from Aunt Katie, a super monkey from Aunt Jenny, A mini Mcqueen car from Brookie, and a huge thing of On the Go Applesauce from mom & dad.  He loves that stuff.  He kind of turned into an angry little elf after all the candy he ate and he continued to find more candy all day long even after I asked Jace and Brooke to hide theirs.  He still found it. That little stink!

Santa brought Brookie a new soccer ball, Nerds finger nail polish kit, Crayola crayons, a Mermaid coloring book, and a special little purse with a gift card to go see Frozen and money to go ice  skating. She also got a Jewelry Designer kit & Sparkle high heel shoes from Nani & Grandpa, a jumbo Crayola crayon set/ construction paper/ Crayola nail stick ons from G &G Johnson, An awesome nail polish set/lip gloss set from Aunt Katie, an adorable tutu with heart leggings from Aunt Jenny, some candy necklaces from Jace, and a set of super adorable flower headbands from mom & dad.
