Ty loves cars, trucks, trains, planes, and anything else that has wheels. He especially loves Disney's Cars and Lightning Mcqueen. We watch it almost every day and he gets excited every single time. Daddy brought him a box car size Lightning Mcqueen car when he came home from his Washington D.C. trip and it rarely leaves his hands. He brings it with him to eat, sleep, and bathe. The other morning he woke up at 5am screaming for his "Mckeen" and we had to search the house trying to find where he dropped it or was playing with it last. We may have to make an investment of a backup. He's usually pretty sweet. He has been trying to go on a nap strike lately though and wakes up grouchy from afternoon nap. When the other kids are at school and while I'm doing my chores or exercising he likes to play with his collection of cars in the play area in the front room. He'll play by himself for an hour or more. He started eating at the big table and is so proud of himself that he doesn't use the highchair anymore. He likes drinking milk, and green smoothies, and he likes eating spaghetti/ pasta, celery, almonds, gluten free crackers, treats, and he LOVES candy. He doesn't like eating any kind of bread or rolls unless it's banana bread and full of chocolate chips. I'm wondering if it's a texture thing or a possible gluten intolerance. He had a milk allergy when he was younger but grew out of it. He loves baths and I wonder if he makes a huge mess at meal times just so he can have one. He's talking more and more everyday. Some of the things he says: "mommy, daddy, jace, grandpa, nani, mckeen, car, bus, cookie, candy, yesh, no, whoa, what's that?, i want, go, more, please, mine, puppy, stories, eyes, nose, toes, etc..." He loves playing with Jace and Brooke when they get home and always runs to daddy with open arms as soon as he hears the garage door open in the evening. He likes snuggling mommy and daddy and discovering new things. He likes having stories read to him and his favorite 'book' to look at is the Mazda magazine we got in the mail that just has pictures of cars. He LOVES cars. His middle name is Johnson and I think he takes after Grandpa Johnson and his love of cars.
Especially red ones. He's in heaven in a parking lot. We are so excited to help him celebrate turning 2 in a 1 1/2 weeks. He holds such a special place in our family. The little peace maker. I'm not ready for him to not be my sweet, little baby. I hope he handles being a big brother okay.
Playing with cars.
Getting ready to watch his favorite movie: Cars!!
More car play time. It's his favorite thing to do.
Playing boats with big sisters. Boxes are the best toys.
Ty and Mcqueen getting into trouble.
Nap strikes gone bad: He refused to take a nap in his crib then fell asleep while watching a movie with a cookie and Mcqueen in his hands. A few days later he again refused to take a nap then fell asleep in the middle of dinner. That little stinker.
Just catching up on some reading. He loves to look at the cars in the Mazda magazine. I usually hear things like "Whoa!!, Oooh, zoom, Cars!!"
