We started this beautiful Saturday morning off by hitting up the Home Depot Kid's Workshop for the first time since we moved here. The kids made boats. It was super fun. Ty LOVED the Home Depot. He was amazed at the men cutting wood and the forklift. After that we stopped to get some lunch at Dickies BBQ for lunch. As daddy was ordering and we were waiting in line Brooke was playing with the dividers (like the ones you see at amusement parks to separate the lines). They had big wooden posts and thick rope connecting them taking you around the corner to order. She slipped and fell and was holding the rope. As she fell all three big wooden posts fell on top of her. One of them got her head pretty badly. She was bleeding. I ran her into the bathroom thinking she had a nose bleed or cut her mouth. Finally I saw that their was a deep cut on her head that had soaked her hair in blood. We got our food to go and I cleaned it up at home. I could tell then that it was deep enough that it needed stitches. The boys stayed home and I took her over to urgent care. They put 2 staples in her head. She cried pretty hard. We got some ice cream afterwords. That helped ease the pain. We go back in 10 days to have them removed. She was so brave.
