This year for General Conference we played a game with buzz words. It worked like a charm. Jace and Brooke were so busy 'listening' to conference that they didn't have a chance to be disruptive. In the first session they each got a lick a stick but they only got to dip every time they heard the buzz words. In the second session we had different buzz words correlating with specific treats ... like chips, cookies, and jelly beans. We used words like: Book of Mormon, love, Prophet, Jesus Christ, Lord, etc ...
Jace saved all of his treats from the second session and counted them up at the end. He ended up with 90 jelly beans and was so excited. I think Brooke got 30. Jace was the better listener this time. We'll for sure do this again next time. It made conference so much more fun for the kids and Craig and I got to enjoy the talks without too much interruption.
