My Grandma Sundberg hosts a fun party every year. Usually it's the annual Christmas party but since last time was the third year in a row where there was a blizzard and many people that were planning on coming couldn't make it due to bad weather she decided to do a big birthday party every year instead. The Sundberg family is HUGE... my Grandma & Grandpa Sundberg had 11 kids ( I think) and they each had a lot of kids too so when that side of the family gets together it's a BIG event. She had it at a park in Holiday this year. I headed up with my parents and my kids on Friday night and we stayed at Josh's house in Layton. Jace & Brooke had a blast with cousins Grant, Kendall, and Olivia. The party started around noon and lasted until after 6pm. Mom & dad were in charge of the fish pond which of course was all of the kids favorite thing. They all came back multiple times and got lots of prizes. There was a spelling bee, geography quiz, yo yo contest, hula hoop contest, football throw, water balloon toss, egg toss, and a bounce house to keep the little ones busy. There were lots of fun snacks and a wonderful dinner at the end. Grandma Sundberg is a party animal! :) I love her so much. It was great to see everyone again. Jace loved all the games. He partnered up with Grant for the water balloon toss and egg toss and LOVED that he got a dollar for every thing he participated in. Brooke loved playing on the playland at the park, bouncing around with Kendal in the bounce house and fishing at the fish pond for prizes. I even took second in the hula hoop contest - Jessica took first. She is the queen hula hooper and can do all sorts of tricks and things with it. The whole thing was lots of fun. After dinner we drove home. It was a long day! I think I overdid it a little because the next day I was sick all day long. Here are some pictures from our trip:
