We went to the city egg hunt yesterday morning. I was kind of disappointed. They did it at the professional baseball stadium here.... that part was cool but they just threw candy and had like 5 plastic eggs that held prizes for over 300 kids. Jace ran as hard as he could towards the blue plastic egg and just missed it. Then he tried to find another plastic one. In the mean time he forgot to pick up any candy. He came back crying. Oh well, he cheered right up when we look them to the dollar store to pick something out from the money they found the eggs Nani & Grandpa sent in the mail.
FINALLY!! Someone invented a no spill egg dye set. It didn't work as well as I had hoped but we had significantly less stained fingers this year. My munchkins had tons of fun turning their hard boiled eggs yellow, pink, blue, purple, and green. I even joined in the fun. I love holidays with kids. They make everything so much more fun. Last night Jace kept telling Brooke that she needed to get into bed quick because he heard a "hop hop hop" right outside. What else did Brooke say the other day that had Craig and I cracking up?? Oh yeah, I had asked her if she had eaten her sandwich since she was munching on candy. She lowered her head and said "Nope, I left it outside for the ants." Craig and I looked at each other and started laughing. She says the most random things.
Jace wanted to write his name on all of his eggs and Brooke dyed all of hers pink. :)

The Easter bunny did find us this year. Mommy & Daddy were REALLY tired when Jace woke us up at 6:30AM since we had been up until 4AM working on a last minute final project for Craig's class. Finals is upon us. He should be done on Tues. Thank goodness! Jace woke up Brooke and I followed them into the living room while they eagerly looked for eggs and their baskets. Jace was ecstatic to find a toy cap gun in his (which I'm already regretting) and Brooke was super happy about all the treats and about finding Beauty & The Beast in hers. The lessons at church were wonderful and now the kids are running around the house like crazy little bandits high on peeps. :) Their favorite Easter game is called "hide the peep". It's pretty self explanatory. I hide 2 marshmallow peeps in a room and they look for them. We got bored last year and had leftover treats so I did that one day. Jace remembered and wants to play it everyday. He's been reminding me all year that he wants to play that at Easter time. I guess it's a new tradition. ... until they get too old to like peeps.

Jenny and Jessica still like peeps--you might be playing for lots of years to come. I'm glad you had a wonderful Easter.
