Being "Mom"
Shaping young lives can be a daunting task. Being mom is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. You are the keeper of keeping everything together. It can be stressful. Trying to figure out healthy (Gluten free, dairy free, dye free, additive/preservative free) meals and snacks is a full time job all on its own along with all the dishes that comes from making everything from scratch. Add on a mountain of laundry, sticky fingerprints on the walls, pee pee toilets (little boys don't always make their target), shoes everywhere, weeds in the garden, dirty diapers, homework assignments, packing lunches, remembering to have them take their vitamins/fish oil/and probiotics, paying all the bills on time, remembering all appts/playdates/field trips/gymnastics lessons/talent shows, documenting life, etc... the list goes on and on and on. There are days I want to escape to a tropical island. lol!! I laugh when I see that picture on social media of the disheveled woman sitting in the kitchen in a daze as one child is emptying the cupboards, one is in the fridge, 2 are smearing cake all over each other, and the house is a wreck. Become a Mom they said it would be fun they said. lol!! I feel like that some days. I love my kids. I love my husband. I love my life. It's busy, it's crazy, it's no where near organized. I love to be organized but I'm learning to go with the flow. My house will never be clean all at the same time and kids are expensive so our "some day we will be out of debt" seems to get farther and farther away. But I'll tell you what. I love the funny things they say, I love baby giggles, I love dancing with the music turned up loud while we clean the house. I love it when they eat up my healthy food and they give me hugs. I love it when their eyes get wide when their telling me stories, and when they need me when they get hurt. They are my world.
