She started her special day off with birthday puffer pancakes (Finnish Pancakes) topped with powdered sugar and whipped cream. They are her favorite, mine too! We sang to her and she requested to have a candle to blow out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and she referred to herself in the 3rd person as "the birthday girl" for the rest of the day. Such a diva. We planned on having her mermaid party on Saturday the 17th so she opened her family birthday presents and the ones from Grandparents. She got $12 dollars as requested from G & G Johnson in a singing card and she got some roller skates from Nani & Grandpa. She couldn't wait to try them out and decided to go out even though it was raining. Jace helped her keep her balance as she roller skated all around the driveway. She was so excited that she didn't take them off all day. She loves being the birthday girl and having all eyes on her. My Brookster Bean is 6 years old now!! She starts 1st grade on Monday.

We used grahm crackers, sugar, and toasted coconut ground up for the "sand". It was perfect. It actually had the same consistency as sand. Thanks for the sea shells Grandma Johnson!! |

We did some balloon games, read some mermaid books, and made jewelry because mermaids LOVE to make jewelry. The girls had so much fun. Brooke opened her presents and they all played with her fun new toys before everyone left. It was an awesome under the sea adventure! Brooke told me it was perfect. :)

You are so good at those themed parties. The cake looks awesome! Brooke is so adorable, and I can't believe what a good brother Jace was to push her around gently on those skates!
