One Saturday we took a really fun family trip to the Victorian resort town of Eureka Springs in the Ozark mountains just 45min away from us. On the way we stopped at the Pea Ridge National Military Park and visited the museum there. We saw one of the fields that the civil war was fought and men died. We watched a short video on it. It was very interesting.
Eureka Springs was AWESOME!! It's known as the The little Switzerland of America. We didn't get to check out The Cresent Hotel, the most haunted hotel in the states, this time but I'm sure we will be back. Maybe I'll have to go with my sister Julie. ;) We did go on a train ride. The kids loved it. They stopped half way through and let us all get out and put nails and coins on the track for the train to run over and flatten. That was Jace's favorite part.
On the way home we stopped at Beaver Dam and then let the kids dip their feet in the lake. It was a beautiful day. I love family outings.
