Gingerbread house & Christmas Lights

Every year we try to make a gingerbread house together.  This one almost didn't happen.  I guess I wasn't being patient enough but the sides would just NOT stay together.  After we fixed that problem, Brooke slipped and smashed the roof.  She was crying and Jace was yelling at her and I
just about threw the whole darn thing in the trash.  However, I restrained myself, glued all the bits of the roof back together and FINALLY got it to temporarily not fall apart while we decorated it.  It turned out very festive and fun and after the initial meltdowns the kids had fun too.  On the Saturday before Christmas we ventured out to Mesa to see the temple lights.  They were beautiful.  I never can figure out the perfect camera setting to do Christmas Lights though.  They always turn out blurry.  As it turns out, everyone else had the same idea so we were packed like sardines on the grounds.  It  truly was a sight to see.  I loved the assortment of Nativities the visitor's center had collected from all parts of the world.  They were beautiful.  I realized about half way through our visit that Ty had taken one of his sock and shoes off in the car and he was bare foot.  Poor thing.  It was really cold too. We headed home soon after that and got some hot chocolate.  My kids LOVE the temple.  So do I. :)

We thought the temple was beautiful in the daylight--I wish we had seen it with the lights sparkling--it looks so beautiful!
