Ty Turns 1!!

 Oh my little Ty man,  we made it a whole year.  You have been a beacon of light during difficult times. When something hard would come along you were there to giggle and smile and make us forget our worries.  You have such a happy attitude and take joy in the smallest of things which reminds us to do the same.

Today was your special day so I got you a balloon and took you to the park.  You were very busy and NOT very cooperative for picture taking so mostly I just followed you around doing your thing.  You especially love the swings just like big sister Brookie.  Brooke and Jace love pushing you in the swings and taking you down the slide.  You are very close to walking but prefer speed crawling as your method of getting around.  You're SO busy where ever we go ... or don't go.  At home you love to unload everything in site: cabinets, drawers, laundry baskets, toy bins, daddies wallet, the diaper bag, etc... and you love playing with big brother.  He crawls over to you and you follow giggling.  You like being pushed around in the laundry basket for rides.  Your favorite thing in the world is electronics.  You can spot a cell phone from across the room and speed crawl over to it in seconds. I don't know how many times you have changed the settings on my phone, updated my Facebook status for me, or called random strangers.  One time you called a girl I hadn't seen in 10 years 8 times in the same day.  You like the computer, my camera, the remote control, Jace's toys, and anyone that has an ipad at church is suddenly your best friend.  You love to give out smiles and will sometimes focus on a complete stranger until they finally make eye contact with you so you can give them an enormous smile.  We always get stopped at the store because of your friendliness.  It's truly a talent that your Heavenly Father has given you.  I love you, Ty.  I love everything about you!  I love playing peek a boo with you and nursing you, and snuggling you when you are tired.  Sometimes when I kiss you on the forehead you just keep leaning in for more and more kisses. I love it. You love to eat!  Your favorite foods are: mommies Finnish pancakes, carrot pancakes, pizza, pasta, canned peas, cooked carrots, chicken pot pie, jello, and clam chowder.  After eating you almost always need a bath and you are not afraid of the water at all.  You dunk your head and splash all over. You like watching cartoons with your big brother and sister, especially Elmo's World and Finding Nemo.  You love it when daddy does the Elmo voice when he gets home from work.  I love having special time with you when brother and sister go to school.  We read books and you help me with the cleaning.  Mostly kiddo, you're just a happy, content little sweetheart.  Grow but don't change too much.  We think you are perfect.  Love,  Mommy

Watching my favorite movie - Finding Nemo.

Finding Nemo Birthday cake.

 We let you have pizza for your birthday dinner and you couldn't get it in your mouth fast enough.  It's safe to say that you LOVE cheese pizza.  We also decorated with lots of crepe paper, birthday banners, and balloons. Making it look very NOT Christmas.  You thought your cake was the coolest thing in the world.  Some kids aren't really sure about it and don't want to touch it.  NOT you.  The second you had it close enough you dug both hands in and it was completely demolished in a matter of minutes after that.  It made us all smile to see you so happy and excited about your birthday cake.  After that you opened your presents:  A walker that plays music, a new outfit, a mini car track and a choo choo train that goes by itself and plays music.  You LOVED everything!!

Big brother and sister are the best helpers.
