Halloween!!

We started the day off early getting Jace and Brooke ready for school and in their costumes.  Jace wanted to just wear his regular clothes and bring his in a bag.  Nani, Grandpa, and I went to the school for the kids' parties and costume parade.  Jace waited until the parade to wear his costume and then refused to wear the mask.  It was too itchy! Comfort rules in his book. Brookie looked ADORABLE in her cupcake costume.  A neighbor of ours made it and I snagged it at her garage sale in the summer for $5.  Score!!  I have never received so many compliments on a costume before in my LIFE.  Random people would stop us to tell us it was the best costume they had seen all day.  She was just soaking up all the attention.  Although she said it was quite embarrassing that she got stuck when trying to get on the bus after school.  Her jumbo cupcake cuteness was too large to fit between the isles.  The bus driver had to help her take it off and put it in a seat of its own.  Lol!! Ha ha ha.

Brookie my cupcake cutie!

Ty the puppy.

Jenni the Kitty.
Jace nick named her "Kitty Marie". :)

Jace the Ninja.
He put his mask on for 1 picture after a lot of arguing.
That thing was way too uncomfortable.  He doesn't love dressing up but it's worth it for the candy.

I LOVE this picture!!  These two love each other.

My Halloween crew.

After school we headed over to Daddies work to do trick or treating there.  The kids get WAY too much candy there.  They LOVE it!  I love that Wal-Mart is so family oriented.  Daddy got off early to walk us through and enjoy the rest of the day with us.

We got some 50 cent corn dogs from Sonic on the way home then headed over to Larsens to go trick or treating and finish the evening with home made doughnuts.  There were only a few houses that were too scary for Ty & Parker to approach.  It was pretty chilly so we were done after 15 houses.

The next day the kids were on candy craziness sugar highs... to the point that I confiscated their candy.  I guess I'm a mean mom but I don't think anyone could handle another day like that.  They were CRAZY! Meltdown after meltdown crazy.  Nani took myself and the kids to see Alexander & the Terrible, Horrible, No good, Very bad day.  It was such a funny movie.  We had a great time.
