My baby is 3 months old already!?! . . . well 14 weeks actually. I've been meaning to take some 3 month pictures and there just seems to be this never ending list of chores and things that I need to get done. . . so it got a little delayed but I put those things on hold for an hour and we just played with Ty in the back yard. Both Jace and Brooke helped me to get some of those sweet sweet Ty Ty smiles. We all just love this kid to bits.
I put him on our scale the other day (don't know how accurate it is) and it said between 14 & 15lbs, so he is steadily putting on weight. He looks less chubby than last month though ... I think because he is so much more active. He loves to kick his legs and he's been grabbing at objects more and more. He loves attention and likes to be held where he can be up and seeing what's going on around him. He also really likes his new bumbo chair, the jumper, and his play mat. We're still trying to figure out if his eyes are going to change color. I can't really tell what color they are right now - definitely not brown. They have looked blue more than anything else. He must have the recessive gene. Our kids have a 1/4 chance of having blue eyes even though mine are brown and Craig's are greenish brown. Both his grandpas have blue eyes.
He has the most kissable cheeks in the world and is usually super happy and smiling at everyone. He is also just starting to giggle. It's hilarious! I love it. Baby laughter is completely contagious. I took him to Costco today and all the older couples stopped to smile and talk to him. He of course smiled and cooed and just took it all in. Then we called Grandpa Robert to rub in the fact that all the grandparents in AZ are getting to snuggle his grandbaby more than him. ;)
He most definitely has a set of lungs on him. Brooke startled him the other day and he screamed at the top of his lungs for a good solid minute. It surprised all of us.
I love his bedtime ritual even though it comes at a chaotic time of the day. I usually put him in the tub around 6:15. It's not bedtime until he's had some time to splash and play, then I put him in his snugly pajamas, lock the door, turn out the lights, and we listen to Enya while we rock in the rocking chair and nurse. It's completely relaxing and I look forward to it each night. It's our special time together.
I love his slobbery kisses and smiles and when he gets tired and just rubs his face into my shoulder for a cuddle. He is absolutely, without a doubt, the sweetest little thing around. Ty, WE LOVE YOU!!

Oh my gosh. He is so adorable. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. :)
He is SO Stinkin Cute!!!! What a darling smile--I'm jealous of the Costco Grandmas that get to visit with him. I really miss you guys--But look forward to seeing you in California.
He's getting so big. Dylan went to the Doctor today, and he's just barely under 14lbs with all his clothes on. It sounds like their pretty close right now. Ty is such a cutie. Love his eyes, and chubby cheeks.
