Getting Cool in the Pool after Yard Work
Our backyard was in need of much attention so last Saturday I worked on it all day long. The kids usually hang out around me. They go where I go and they loved that I was outside with them. They "helped" me pull up weeds, threw dirt at each other, and looked for froggies. After clearing out all the dead plants/weeds and cleaning out the greenhouse we rediscovered the pool in there. I set it up on the deck for the kids to romp around in while I mowed the lawn in the backyard. They had so much fun getting cool in the pool. They fought over who got to hold the hose and took turns spraying each other down. Craig came out after the BYU football game and helped finish up with mowing and edging the lawn. Then we just sat and watched the kids play. It was very rewarding after a hard days work to just relax and enjoy some family time. Although, I definitely need to water my front lawn more often. I think it's starting to die off. Oh well, before I know it the rainy season will be here tp make up for my laziness.
Those last two pictures have me smiling. What a little twerp! Taylor loves to hose down the babies.... so much so that if the hose is on outside the babies come crawling up to me as fast as they can. He doesn't do it on their backs though. It's much funnier right directly in their faces! Love you girl.
so cute! about those life saving books i mentioned: may I recommend starting with "A joyful mother of children" by Linda Eyre as it's an easy read as covers a little of all their tricks in one book, and "3 steps to a strong family" by Linda & Richard Eyre A lot of their books are out of print so you may have to get them on amazon. anyways, they have a lot of books so I thought I'd point you to a good starting point. :) Good luck! They've truly changed my life!
